FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is your background and experience?

My background blends formal training in counseling and human development with years of experience guiding individuals through life transitions, decision-making, and personal growth. In addition to my work in higher education, I have spent years cultivating a reflective, insight-driven coaching practice focused on clarity, self-trust, and authentic direction. My ongoing learning and intuitive approach allow me to create a supportive space for clients to explore their experiences and move forward with intention. While my work is not therapy and does not follow a clinical model, it is rooted in compassion, deep listening, and a commitment to helping you reconnect with your own wisdom and sense of wholeness.

Is this therapy or counseling?

No, my work is not therapy or counseling, nor is it a replacement for mental health treatment. I don’t diagnose or treat mental health conditions, and I don’t use a clinical approach. Instead, I offer a reflective and supportive space where you can gain clarity, deepen self-trust, and take meaningful steps forward in your life. If something comes up that’s beyond the scope of what I offer, I’ll always be honest about that and will encourage you to seek the right kind of support for your needs.

What kinds of things do people bring to sessions?

People come to sessions with a wide range of questions, challenges, and hopes. Some are navigating career changes or life transitions, while others are seeking greater clarity about their direction, choices, or values. Many bring feelings of uncertainty, a desire to deepen self-trust, or a sense that something in their life no longer feels aligned. Together, we explore whatever is present for you—whether it’s making an important decision, moving through a period of change, reconnecting with your sense of purpose, or simply gaining new perspective. Sessions are a supportive space for reflection, insight, and intentional forward movement, no matter where you are on your journey.

Do I need to know what I want to work on before booking?

Not at all. You don’t need to have everything figured out before booking a session. Many people come in with uncertainty or just a sense that something in their life needs attention or support. Whether you have a specific goal in mind or simply feel ready to explore what’s present for you, sessions are designed to meet you where you are. Together, we can clarify your intentions and discover what feels most important to focus on.

Do I have to commit to ongoing sessions?

No, there’s no requirement to commit to ongoing sessions. You’re welcome to book a single session or return as you feel called. Some people find value in regular support, while others prefer to come as needed. The choice is entirely yours, and sessions are designed to be flexible to meet your unique needs and preferences.

How do I know if this work is right for me?

This work is a good fit if you’re seeking a supportive space to reflect, gain clarity, and move forward with greater self-trust and intention. If you’re navigating a transition, feeling stuck or uncertain, or simply want to explore what feels most true for you, these sessions can offer meaningful support. You don’t need to have all the answers—just an openness to self-exploration and a willingness to engage in the process. If you’re unsure, you’re always welcome to CONTACT me with your questions or BOOK a single session to see how it feels for you.

What happens after I book a session?

Once you book a session, you’ll receive a confirmation email with all the details, including the date, time, and any information you need to prepare. If your session is virtual, you’ll get a link for our meeting. Before we meet, you’re welcome to reflect on anything you’d like to explore, but there’s no requirement to prepare in advance. At the scheduled time, we’ll connect and create a supportive space to focus on whatever feels most important to you. My aim is to help you feel comfortable, heard, and empowered from the very start.
